I haven’t participated in a blog swap in forever, but this one sounded fun! Check it out here.
This was my first month participating in the Cara Box exchange hosted by Wifessionals and I really enjoyed it. I like that each month has a different theme! January’s theme was resolutions. I sent a package to Elise at Living the Pink Life and Carolynn from Adventures of a Kitty Eared Girl sent me a package.
Carolynn knew I wanted to read more books this year so she sent me two novels. She also included some yarn to represent one of her favorite hobbies, knitting. I also got a card, nail polish, sunscreen, a ring, a postcard, tea, and bubbles!
Here are a few pics of what I sent Elise, or check out her post here.
And here are links to everyone’s reveal posts!
I signed up for my first Cara Box Swap. Wifessionals hosts this swap every month with a different theme. This month’s theme is resolutions. You must sign up by Thursday, January 3, 2pm EST, to participate this month.
I sent Tanja a postcard from my hometown, a homemade Christmas card, bookmarks (she loves to read), and a personalized Scrabble ornament that I made.
Tanja sent me a letter, owl Christmas card, postcard, and children’s book.
I enjoyed Lovely Letters and was happy to be paired with such a lovely pen pal!
I was excited to do this swap because I got to open one present every day for 12 days! I was paired with Janna from View from the 512 and she was seriously the best swap partner ever. I’ve had some great swap partners (and some bad ones) but she outdid them all! (Although I’m pretty sure she went over the spending limit! Not that I mind. ;)) She figured out what I love (pink, owls, reading, fuzzy socks, baking) and even bought me two books I really wanted!! And she used the cutest owl gift tags. Amazing. I loved all my gifts.
See what everyone else got here. Here’s a sneak peek of what I got her. Click here to see all her goodies!
For this swap, I sent a Secret Santa package to Jennifer at Marine Wife, Mommy, & Life. Hope she likes it!!
I received my package from Ilana at The Hip Hostess on Thursday… Thank you!!
I participated in two ornament swaps this year.
For this one I was paired with Amy at Love and Hot Chocolate.
I collect elephants, and she got me this awesome elephant ornament!
For now it’s been added to my collection, since my kittens would likely knock it off the tree and break it. Hopefully I can put it up next year when they’re not so crazy! 🙂
Since there was a $15 limit, I went a little overboard with my gift. I got her purple ornaments because that’s her favorite color. I also made her a Scrabble ornament and threw in some scrapbooking stuff (one of her favorite hobbies), some toys for her cats (she has two like me), and a packet of hot chocolate (because of her blog name!). Check out her post here. And see what everyone else got here!
For this one I was paired with Elizabeth at Lizzi’s Creations.
I love owls and the colors pink and green, so I was super excited when I saw what she had made me!
I made her a card and Scrabble ornament, and also included a red and green ornament since she said her tree was mostly decorated with those colors. You can see her post here! And see what everyone else got here!
I got really lazy on these and ended up sending stationary instead of making homemade card/envelopes… 😦
Here’s the card I sent her:
Tanja’s second letter to me was lost in the mail! She had to email me her questions instead. But they were so thought-provoking! Mine seemed lame in comparison.
Tanja sent me this adorable homemade owl card! Unfortunately the googly eyes fell off that last owl…
Here’s what I sent her for this round:
I am excited to finally get to use some of the stationary I’ve been collecting!!
