I don’t like anything with nuts, like Snickers.

Sunflower!

My job interview was today… I think it went pretty well but fingers crossed!!

Monday Quiz About Me

Acting Balanced

1. Do you consider Halloween a holiday for children or adults?
Both! I don’t like that Halloween is not as popular for kids anymore. It’s an awesome holiday! Kids should get to dress up and go trick-or-treating, while the adults go to haunted houses and parties.

2. At what age should children stop trick or treating?
Never. ๐Ÿ™‚

3. What are your plans for Halloween?
Well I already celebrated three nights in a row (haunted house on Thursday, parties on Friday and Saturday) so I think I’m done. But I might go trick-or-treating with a friend and her son if it’s not too cold.

4. What frightens you?
A lot of things… Pain, public speaking, horses, saunas.

Bonus question for blog hoppers to answer:

5. Do you ever go to your local library… Or do you buy books at bookstores?

Weekend Update

This weekend was full of Halloween parties! Friday night my friend Adrienne and her boyfriend Wes had one at their apartment.

Cindy was a gypsy, I was a devil, and Adrienne was a dead bride

Wes was a homeless monster… ??

Raquel was Fiona

Jim was a “sexy” speed skater

Jane as the “not impressed” McKayla Maroney

Saturday night was another Halloween party… There was an awesome “Gangnam Style” dance contest. Then we went clubbin’ in downtown Asheville at Pack’s Tavern and Arcade.

I was a flapper!

Walter and The Dude from The Big Lebowski

these ladies were a sandwich but they took their bread off for the dance competition ๐Ÿ™‚

gladiator

Laura was a football player and her dance partner was a very cute pumpkin

Romney and Obama (they won!)

1. What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?
I was the Bride of Frankenstein once, which was awesome. I had my hair sticking up with clothes hangers. No photo unfortunately. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

2. If you could go back and dress up as something, what would it be?
I have plenty of years ahead of me to dress up, and plenty of ideas, so I don’t need to go back! Ideas taken from this weekend that I want to dress up as in the future are a sugar skull and Brynn from Bridesmaids.

3. Favorite costume as an adult?
I think the best was Mario. But I enjoyed being a devil and a flapper this year.

4. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I like Nerds, M&Ms, Skittles, and Reese’s Cups.

5. What is your favorite Halloween memory?
Halloween as a kid was awesome: we had a carnival at school and then we trick-or-treated for hours!!

6. What’s your favorite scary movie?
I love the Scream series.

What book has changed your life?

I always feel silly when I tell this story, but the book American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld (a fictional account of Laura Bush’s life) made me realize I should be a librarian. So I went back to school to get my MLIS and now I have an interview for a children’s librarian position next week!
