I write notes all the time.

The first one I remember was Snow White… Most recent was The Heat.

Nope… But I LOVE my mom’s lasagna!!

1. What’s something people might ask you for help with?
Travel planning or book recommendations.

2. What’s something you might ask someone else for help with?
French braiding my hair… LOL.

3. Did your family take summer vacations when you were a child? If so, where did you go? If you’re a parent, did/do you plan summer vacations with your own family? Did/do they resemble those you took as a child?
Yes, to Edisto Island in SC. I am not a parent but if I ever have kids they will definitely travel.

4. Pool, lake, ocean… Which one is most appealing to you on a hot summer day?
Pool for sure. But I don’t mind swimming in lakes, oceans, rivers, whatever!

5. Have you ever justified using the expression, “you gotta be cruel to be kind”? Was it really necessary or were you rationalizing?
I haven’t used the expression but I can see when someone would… In a romantic situation.

6. The Journal of Psychology recently mentioned the results of a survey identifying the ten most hated foods as: liver, lima beans, mayonnaise, mushrooms, eggs, okra, beets, brussel sprouts, tuna, and gelatin. Of those foods, how many do you actually hate? Anything you’d add to the list?
The only one I really like on that list is okra. Fried okra is delicious!! I definitely do not like liver, mushrooms, eggs, beets, or tuna. The others are OK.

7. What’s your favorite book or movie set in a beach or lake town?
This is a hard one… Off the top of my head I would pick the movie The Beach! (And I’ve been to Ko Phi Phi, where it was filmed, which is totally crowded and trashy… Literally!)

Happiness 365: Day 177

Saw that the movie The Impossible was available at the library so I snatched it up for my mom to watch! She fell asleep after 45 minutes but hopefully we’ll finish it tomorrow… (It’s an excellent movie; my mom just can’t stay awake past 9pm!)

Had to watch the Silver Linings Playbook movie again after finishing the book… Gotta say I loved both. The movie was different but still great 🙂

Monday Quiz About Me

1. June 17th is Eat Your Vegetables Day… Do you need a special day to celebrate veggies? Your favorite veg?
No, I eat veggies but I much prefer fruit! My favorite vegetables is probably green beans.

2. How did you spend your Father’s Day? Or for those who don’t have Father’s Day on June 16th, what did you do this weekend?
My dad lives in Arkansas so I never get to see him for Father’s Day. I had a great weekend though! Including the Blue Ridge BBQ Festival, a Khaled Hosseini book reading/signing, dinner at Farm Burger, an afternoon at Twin Lakes, dinner at The Green Room, seeing the play Evita!, babysitting my adorable niece, watching the movie This is the End, and making southwestern chicken salad for dinner!

3. June 18th is National Splurge Day… If you were (are) going to participate what would/will you splurge on?
Traveling!

4. What is the farthest you’ve ever traveled from home?
I’ve been all the way around the globe…

I love the actresses in it (Rebel Wilson, Lizzy Caplan, and Isla Fisher), except for Kirsten Dunst, but she was cast perfectly. Hilarious!

This was the first (and only) Korean movie I’ve ever seen, despite living in Korea for two years. I’ve heard this is one of their best films but I didn’t love it. There is a huge twist though!!
