Five Second Movie Reviews: Part 2

I can’t believe I only watched 14 movies in four months!!

Ratings guide:
5 stars = I LOVED it!
4 stars = I liked it
3 stars = Either boring and I probably fell asleep or mildly entertaining trash
2 stars = So bad I couldn’t fall asleep because I was too busy hating it
1 star = You will never see this rating because it means I turned the movie off before I finished it

I rented this movie because Channing Tatum was in it. It was just OK.

Bachelorette
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 54%
My rating: 5 stars
I love the actresses in it (Rebel Wilson, Lizzy Caplan, and Isla Fisher), except for Kirsten Dunst, but she was cast perfectly. Hilarious!

I love Andy Samberg and found this film sad and (sadly) relatable.

The plane crash scene was awesome! Unfortunately the rest of the movie was not.

I liked this film a lot more the first time I saw it. Zach Braff and Natalie Portman seemed annoying this time around. Good ending though.

I didn’t know the story so it was nice to have a surprise ending. I LOVED the costumes and music!!

Horrible reviews, but I loved it. A perfect ending to the trilogy.

Identity Thief
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 20%
My rating: 3 stars
I wanted to love this because Melissa McCarthy was so funny in Bridesmaids. Unfortunately this film was pretty cheesy, but mildly entertaining.

I’m not a huge fan of indie movies but this was a good one. I love Jason Segel.

Mud
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 99%
My rating: 5 stars
This movie has an insanely high Rotten Tomatoes rating for a reason. It was so good! I loved everything about it. (And it’s not depressing, like most indies.)

Old Boy
Rotten Tomatoes rating: N/A
My rating: 3 stars
This was the first (and only) Korean movie I’ve ever seen, despite living in Korea for two years. I’ve heard this is one of their best films but I didn’t love it. There is a huge twist though!!

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 36%
My rating: 3 stars
The movie sounds so good, but it isn’t. Anne Hathaway’s accent is super annoying as well. I don’t even remember what happened in the end!

The Sessions
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 94%
My rating: 4 stars
This movie was so much better than I thought it would be. Strange topic but great acting. Where was John Hawkes’ Oscar nom?
