Movie Review: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I read the book recently so I had to see the movie to see if it was as good!

From Rotten Tomatoes: Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up. Starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a moving tale of love, loss, fear and hope-and the unforgettable friends that help us through life.

Rotten Tomatoes rating: 86%
Ken Hanke rating: 4.5 stars

Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars. I didn’t think it was possible, but I loved Charlie even more in the movie than I did in the book. The ending isn’t exactly happy but I think there is hope for his future. It’s just a great coming-of-age story for my generation.
