Mutianyu Great Wall

We booked a trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall through our hostel for 280 RMB each (including breakfast and lunch). It took about 1.5 hours to get there from Beijing. Once there, we paid another 50 RMB each to take the chair lift up (you can pay 80 RMB to take the chair lift up and the toboggan sled down but we were kind of broke). I was really shocked by how steep the wall was! I didn’t walk that far along it but if you’re in good shape you could hike for hours. We chose Mutianyu because it’s less touristy than Badaling but it was still full of tourists. Oh well! We enjoyed the day. 🙂
